A Written Representations appeal was allowed today for three new 3 bedroom dwellings in Reigate.
A Written Representations appeal was allowed today for three new 3 bedroom dwellings in Reigate. In determining the appeal the Inspector considered three main issues including the character and appearance of the area, the effect of the scheme on neighbouring occupiers and highway safety.
With regard to the first issue, the Inspector found that the elevations would be well proportioned and, overall, the appearance of the dwellings would be acceptable in relation to the surroundings.
Turning to the issue of neighbour amenity, the Inspector found that the proposal would not result in overlooking to the extent that would be greater than that which can reasonably be expected in a suburban situation.
Finally the Inspector found that the number of parking spaces proposed conformed to Council standards, would not result in unnacceptably increased road hazards or inconvenience other road users.
