Planning permission has been granted on appeal for the erection of 118 flats and a Primary Care Trust building on a brownfield site in the north of the District. (TAN/442/BW/JC/C37)
In allowing the appeal the Inspector considered that the appeal proposal would accord with planning policies that promote mixed communities and therefore complies with the objectives of the relevant development policies and Government advice.
In addition to the main issue of housing mix, the Inspector considered the proposal to be well designed and in keeping with the character of the area. The proposal would also contribute positively to making places better for people.
